Mass Cancel (Same Day Posting)

Use this option to cancel multiple postings that are for the current day using a previously selected SAVE-LIST of the transactions.

· A preprocess occurs to validate that all the transactions in the SAVE-LIST are eligible to be Cancelled.

· Mass cancel is not allowed if statements are running.

· Cancelled Transactions are actually deleted.

· For audit purposes the deleted transactions are written to the file TRAN-CANCEL or TRAN-CANCELX. (Standard TCS function)

· Example of usage: An auto posted batch was given the wrong client number.

Menu CANCEL/REVERSE POSTING, option Mass Cancel (Same day Posting)

Enter only the name of the SAVE-LIST at the Enter List Name prompt , hit <Enter>.

Select Yes to Cancel ALL of the transaction that are in the SAVE-LIST, select No to not cancel the transactions.

If any Transactions in the SAVE-LIST are not eligible to be cancelled the preprocessor will return a message listing the rejected reasons and then return to the Cancel Posting Menu after the user presses <Enter>.
