Minimal Functionality:

The CT Impact Lite Dialer Interface was designed to be free and easy for a user to install.  It allows the user to make use of IAT’s CT Impact service without any up-front expense for an interface to their TCS system.  As a result of these considerations, it provides minimal functionality.  It creates a campaign file from a user-built save list.  It processes the result file updating notes and certain user-selected attributes in TCS’s FISCAL file.

If the Lite product doesn’t meet the user’s functional requirements, CCI has a full featured interface in our CT Impact Dialer Interface product.

Free with Open Source:

The source code for the CT Impact Lite Dialer Interface is freely distributed.  Once IAT notifies CCI that you are a new user of their CT Impact service, we will email to you the source code for the 2 programs.  It will be the user’s responsibility to load that source code onto their system and implement it.  If you have a programming staff, the source code is open, easily readable, and customizable to suit your requirements.

If you have the need of CCI’s services, other than to have provided the source code, we will be glad to help with installation, training, or customization, on an hourly fee basis.

Only 2 Programs to Install:

The CT Impact Lite Dialer Interface has only 2 programs to install into your PRIVLIB file.  They are:

-          CTIL.BUILD.CAMPAIGN

-          CTIL.PROCESS.RESULTS

Their names explain their functions.  After these programs are installed, you will probably want to use TCS’s menu builder (menu 10.1.18) to add them to your “SPECIAL ROUTINES” menu.

Uses a Saved List of Debtor Numbers:

The main input to the campaign file building program is a user-generated save list of debtor numbers.  Most TCS users have someone on staff who is familiar enough with the Recall query language to generate such a list.

The generated campaign file will contain one record for each of the accounts in the save list.  Each record in the campaign file will contain the following data fields:

-          Debtor account number (DNUM)

-          Last name

-          First name

-          Client code

-          Client name

-          Logon

-          Desk

-          Name of save list

-          Total balance due

-          Home phone number

-          Employer 1 phone number

-          Employer 2 phone number

-          Alternate payer phone number

Campaign Building Configurability:

For the campaign building program, the user is able to specify the directory/path on your host’s file system where the campaign file should be written.  Typically, this will only be done once, but the program allows the previous specification to be replaced by a new one, if needed.

Updates Notes and User-Specified Fiscal Fields:

Each result record from CT Impact is updated into your TCS database as a note containing the result code, the last 4 digits of the phone number called, and the time and date of the call.  A typical note looks like this on the Collector Screen:

030309 1P ANS_MACH_LMTC [0784] 03/03 09:22

The note above says that the result file was processed around 1:00 PM on 3/3/09.  The ANS_MACH_LMTC result code was reported from CT Impact (this means Answering machine – left message to call).  The phone number that was called ended in “0784” and the actual time and date of the call was 09:22 AM on 03/03.

If you have allocated some FISCAL fields to contain the last CT Impact result data, here is what it might look like in your FISCAL window:

 56.LastDialDt 03-03-09

 57.DialResult ANS_MACH_LMTC

 58.Campaign   ORANGE2

Result Processing Configurability:

For the result processing program, the user is able to specify the directory/path on your host’s file system where the result files are to be found.  Additionally, there are 3 FISCAL fields which can be specified to contain the following data elements:

-          The last result code for this account

-          The last date dialed for this account

-          The last list name that this account was dialed under

Typically, this configuration will only be done once, but the program allows the previous specifications to be replaced by new ones.
