PVI allows your collector to arrange for either ACH check or credit card payments while in TCS’s collector screen.
The collector can choose to take an immediate payment or to set up a future payment plan.
For ACH check transactions, using the optional extra services available from PaymentVision’s sister organization, Lyons Commercial Data, the PVI interface allows the name of the bank to be displayed after the bank routing number is entered. Additionally, you can perform a bank account verification to assure that the account number entered is for an account in good standing.
For credit card transactions, both immediate and future plans, the card issuer is queried in real-time to verify that the credit card entered is a good one.
You can specify the business rules for calculating convenience fees to be added to the principal amount being paid. Also, you can specify whether or not the calculated fee amount can be changed by the collector because of negotiations with the debtor.
The screens of the PaymentVision Interface were designed using the same user input conventions of the TCS system. Anyone familiar with how to use TCS screens will be able to easily use the PJP interface.
Unlike some other payment processing solutions, PVI works entirely on your TCS host computer. The PVI payment entry screens work as a sub-set of TCS’s Collector screen. Payment transactions make use of the demographic data already entered in your TCS database. There is no need for your agents to use any specific terminal emulator. Also, there is no need to use a separate computer for data communications.
Using PaymentVision’s user-defined batch cut-off functionality, along with the interface’s batch import program, you can assure that your trust account deposits and TCS posting amounts will be exactly equal.
The ongoing license for usage of the CCI interface software is free of charge. However, there are hourly charges for installation, customization, and any support services that you require.
The PaymentVision Interface (PVI) software will never write sensitive data to your TCS database or server. Sensitive data includes credit card and bank account numbers. All data is securely transmitted to PaymentVision’s server via https protocol, and stored within their rigorously maintained infrastructure to keep it secure. For future payment plans, the PVI stores a meaningless set of characters called a “token” which acts as a pointer to the sensitive data. Because the token is meaningless outside of the context of a PaymentVision transaction for your individual user account, it can be safely stored in your TCS database.
