Sometimes, new IAT dialer users have had the CU dialer management software installed for their previous dialer. The CT Center dialer interface software recognizes this situation by the presence of the DIALER-DOWNLOAD file. If that file exists, the option to use campaigns generated by the CUBS dialer front end is added to the list of build strategies.
If the agency has a large investment of time in previously built campaign definitions on their old CUBS software, they may choose to continue to make use of that investment by using this build strategy. A CUBS campaign is used only to build a list of debtor account numbers. All other information in the DIALER-DOWNLOAD file records is ignored.
