PVI Documentation > Reference Manual Menu > XPV Window
After all data entry is completed, a summary of data entered will appear at the top of the window and you will have the opportunity to return to the data entry screens to change something or to file the transaction in the confirmation screen.
F: F at the command prompt will communicate with PaymentVision (if appropriate), display feedback, and update the TCS database.
/: Slash at the command prompt will move you back to the previous data entry screen.
X: Return to the CMD prompt of the Collector Screen with no update having taken place.
Once the updates have taken place, feedback will be displayed. There are 2 scenarios in the feedback, the transaction was either successful or it was unsuccessful.
For a successful transaction, you have only one option - you will be prompted to return to TCS’s collector screen.
For an unsuccessful transaction, any error messages will be displayed and you will have the option to return to the previous data entry screens to make necessary corrections to the data.
Sometimes, the communication link between your TCS host and PaymentVision fails. If you happen to be trying to communicate an immediate payment (either a single immediate payment or a future plan with the first payment dated today) and there is a communication failure, the system will pause and try again 2 more times. If the failure persists, we’re left in a bind because we don’t know on the TCS side whether or not PaymentVision received the transaction and has processed it. To send it through again could be a serious mistake because it may lead to a duplicate payment. If this scenario presents itself, it is important for someone in your organization to get onto PaymentVision’s web payment portal to see whether that transaction was received or not, before deciding whether to try again.
/: This option is only available if the transaction was not successful. Slash at the command prompt will move you back to the previous data entry screen.
X: Return to the CMD prompt of the Collector Screen.
